Perform a wide variety of maintenance work to maintain structures, electrical systems, heating systems, plumbing, machine repair, hydraulics and pneumatics.
JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Perform basic mechanical/electrical repairs on equipment.
- Diagnose and repair all machinery related to manufacturing including but not limited to: injection/compression molding machines, stamping presses, auxiliary equipment, robots, and fabrication and assembly machines.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
- Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Ability to install and repair electrical apparatus such as transformers/robots.
- Ability to use cutting torch and welding equipment.
- Work directly with outside vendors to order spare parts and needed supplies.
- Set up and operates tools such as lathes, grinders, drills, and milling machines.
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic principals.
- Perform and/or assist with weekly/monthly/annual preventative maintenance tasks.
- Bend, cut and thread pipe. Seal pipe joints with sealing compound. Install conduit and pull wires.
- Use hand and power tools.
- Understands and applies Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedure and follows safety procedures.
- Participates in 6S Kaizen events as directed by supervisor.
- Repair air leaks on equipment.
- Maintains a neat and organized work area.
- Support all building/facility requirements as directed by supervisor.
- Repair and maintain physical structure and grounds of facilities.
- Ability to program PLC’s and perform complex wiring.
- Ability to understand MRP system to order spare parts or related items.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Perform and/or assist with weekly/monthly/annual EHS inspections.
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Education/Training - Education and/or experience equivalent to a High School diploma or general education degree (GED); with a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years related experience and/or training. 2 year technical degree in electronics a plus. Computer skills: Microsoft Word, MRP system, Outlook.
- Design - Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematic diagrams. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Tools and equipment used in this job include drills, saws, utility knives, screwdriver, hammer, wrench.
- Mathematics - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
