Operate machines to perform standardized operations such as assembly, molding, cutting, trimming, forming, crimping, punching, drilling, riveting, polishing, grinding, etc. Recognize defective materials and machine malfunctions. Observe continuous operation of machines to ensure that products meet specifications.
JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Operate machines or assembly equipment to make parts or products.
- Read work orders, work instructions, formulas, or processing charts.
- Maintain production documentation.
- Position and secure inserts, hand loads and work pieces on machines.
- Remove finished products from machines, using hand tools, air hoses and other equipment.
- Measure and visually inspect products for surface and dimension defects in order to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain DMP and customer quality standards.
- File, debur, sand, grind, or polish metal or plastic objects.
- Fill in appropriate information on labels and associated documentation needed on products when necessary.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Final packaging of products for shipment.
- Responsible for clean up procedures.
- Training new employees on proper procedures and techniques.
- Perform re-work duties as assigned.
- Relieve other operators for breaks as needed.
- Act as a back up to the Inspector whenever necessary.
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks.
- Serve on special project teams (Kaizen, 6S etc.).
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs and uses. Tools/Equipment Used: Utility knife, razor knife, nippers, swivel knife, files, broachers, drills, arbor, inserts, grinders, saws, air hoses, cooling fixtures, magnifying glass, insert fixtures, gauges, brushes, milling machines.
- Mathematics - Knowledge of basic math and their applications.
- Education/Training - High School Diploma or Equivalent. Minimum Experience: 2 to 4 Years in a Manufacturing Environment preferred.
